Once Upon a Time in Japan - Osaka
My boyfriend and I went to Japan back at the end of April and still can't get over how much I enjoyed every single minute of it. While Japan was always on my list of places to visit, it was a last minute trip that was more unexpected than expected. We had decided to visit three Cities: Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo - very different cities with unique offerings and perspectives.
While we had many different recommendations of places to visit and eat, here are what we ended up visiting, eating and soaking in. Hope you get immersed within the visuals that will one day inspire you to visit (or re-visit!) what this beautiful country has to offer. Really, I cannot express how much I enjoyed it, I'd say one of the most memorable trips so far. So as not make these posts incredibly long, I will be splitting them up by city as well as providing posts dedicated to a recap of my outfits and what I brought back (I should say what's remaining, I ate a good majority of it).
Dotonburi
One of Osaka's main attractions. Some favourites were the street Takoyaki, Conveyor Belt Sushi and large figures within the main street.
While this was common throughout the trip, we started trying a variety of different drinks available within the vending machines scattered around the cities as well as in the different chains of convenience stores (7-11, Family Mart & Lawson).
Osaka Castle
While we couldn't take that many photos inside, Osaka Castle was so mesmerizing and unique from any Castle I've visited. I really got to learn a lot about Japan's history and was fascinated about the political rule during the Edo Period. The castle contains different floors that depicts certain years, artifacts as well as a view from the top showcasing part of the city of Osaka.
Hope you enjoyed this little taste of Osaka - stay tuned for more Japan content :)
