Call Me By Your Name

Sometimes, a cherished memory stems from a significant part of your life. At least that’s how I feel. The feelings, the actions, the moments….all intertwined in an Italian Summer many years ago. I watched the movie before reading the book, and while the book conveys such intensity and depth compared to the movie, it made the significance behind the movie all that more special. My heart beats fast and I go through all kinds of emotions while re-reading some of the parts. All the subtle glances, indirect remarks and tense situations between Elio and Oliver, made this whirlwind love affair resonate in my thoughts and feelings even days after I finished it.

I will be reading it’s sequel, Find Me, as soon as I get through my plethora of books currently piled on my nightstand.
