My Jewelry Collection: Earrings
While I am starting the year off late, I am looking forward to posting a lot more and adding some creative touches to the blog to make it a bit more personal. I thought I would start off my posts with my most loved earrings. I’ve only started collecting some nicer quality pieces, but they have been quite complementary to my wardrobe and have been an everyday staple for the last few months. I have been especially into gold pieces, which wasn’t the case a few years ago but its been slowly creeping in and now I’m into the mixed metals. With most of the things I own, I try to look for pieces that are quite classic in design but with some modern or unique take to it.
Mejuri has been a big part of this transition. They offer great quality jewelry at quite affordable prices that look and feel timeless. They do a lot of collaborations with influencers and release collections frequently, which give you so many more options. They are also a Canadian based company that is making it across the globe, which makes me want to support them even more. Below are some selections from the HeyClaire Collaboration that I own: the Bound Huggies in Gold Vermeil and the Bound Cuff. Next on my list are the Bound Huggies in Silver and the newly released Organic Pearl Hoops.
In terms of more costume type jewelry, this may come to a surprise but I have been loving what Oak & Fort are releasing these days. Known for their minimalistic and neutral clothing, their jewelry is unique and feels superior to other costume jewelry that I’m used to. Also, I haven’t experienced any tarnishing with the pieces from Oak & Fort, which is something I often see with the jewelry I owned from Zara and H&M. Here are some of the pieces I got this past year. The turnover on the site is quite fast, so you won’t be able to find these specific earrings on the website but they have lots of different kinds that will suit any type of style.
Finally, through the great influence that is Instagram, I came to discover LaHavane New York, a brand started by Idalia Salsamendi and her mother. They release amazing pieces and I love that I am supporting an independent brand. I have the Miro and Jour Earrings and wear them quite regularly.
